Bayern Munich sacked Nico Kovac following a 5-1 defeat to Frankfurt at the weekend which was well complementing their underlying start to the campaign.
The German champions are targeting Jose Mourinho to take the helm. The Portuguese has been out of managerial work since his Manchester United dismissal back in December last year.
Jose Mourinho, until before Kovac sacking, was favorite to replace Unai Emery as it looks like his time at Arsenal is over. And reports claimed, Jose Mourinho met with Raul Sanllenhi to discuss his plans as Arsenal board plans life after Emery.
Though, its highly unlikely Jose would take charge of Arsenal, especially because of his ill history with Arsene Wenger and the loyal Gooners.
Jose Mourinho has never managed in Germany in his glittering managerial career and Bayern project might appeal him to win in yet another country. Former Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger feels Jose would be a fit to life in Germany.
“In any case, I can imagine Jose Mourinho in Germany, I remember well that he always asked me about Bayern and the Bundesliga,” Schweinsteiger speaking with Bild am Sonntag .
“He has not worked in the Bundesliga, so I can well imagine that he would be tempted by a commitment in Germany.”
