As revealed by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Borussia Dortmund attacker Karim Adeyemi has decided to leave the club in the next summer transfer window amid widespread interest from several Premier League clubs.
The German star has proven himself since joining Dortmund from Red Bull Salzburg in 2022. This season he has scored five goals and provided six assists in 17 games.
His current contract runs until 2027, and several reports stated that his future remains a mystery as of now. But the 23-year-old has now changed his agency, which has invited more speculations surrounding his future at the Signal Iduna Park.
As per Romano, Adeyemi has joined Germany’s Roof agency. Star players such as Virgil van Dijk, Kai Havertz, Harvey Elliott, Ademola Lookman, and Arsenal academy manager Per Mertesacker are all represented by this agency.

It is also said that the player didn’t want to leave Dortmund in January but is now prepared to start a ‘new chapter’ in the summer.
This is great news for the Gunners since they were secret admirers of the young attacker since his Salzburg days. Other English giants such as Liverpool, Manchester United, Man City and Chelsea are keeping an eye on the player.
He is currently priced at £40 million, which is a decent price considering the amount of time he spent at a foreign club. Napoli tried to sign the players during the January window and direct club to club talks were held. The Serie A side also met with the player and they had an agreement in principle with his parent club.
However, the deal collapsed since he didn’t wanted to join them. Instead Napoli director Manna revealed that Adeyemi has already agreed to join another club in July. The winger is yet to reveal the details of his next move.
SHOULD ARSENAL TARGET GERMAN SENSATION KARIM ADEYEMI?
The Dortmund star is well known for his versatility as he flourishes in all three positions up front. He was a beast during the 2021/22 season, wherein he made 24 goal contributions in just 29 games.
He is a proven player and can improve even more at the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal have found it difficult to rotate players like Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli due to a lack of quality options in the squad.
Adeyemi has the technical qualities to play in the Premier League, and he can be a part of their long-term plans. Former Salzburg coach Matthias Jaissle praised the energetic attacker, saying:
“Karim has almost everything a striker needs. His quality and speed are incredible.”
🎙️ Niko Kovac on Adeyemi:
“I know Karim from his time in Salzburg, I know what qualities he brings to the table. If he keeps it simple and uses his speed cleverly, he’s a weapon. When he throws it all in, he and we are difficult to stop.” pic.twitter.com/ilJQ2j37DW

The Bundesliga’s official website also compared him to Liverpool’s Mohammed Salah saying:
“Both goalscoring left-footers who make magic happen from out wide, there are plenty of similarities. If they’re not successful with a piece of skill, they tend to win a free kick in a dangerous area. Adeyemi prefers to start off on the left, to Salah’s right, but there are signs that when it comes to entering the opponent’s box, BVB’s frontman could get even better.”
It is a glorious opportunity working for Arsenal, and it will be hard to resist them. Mikel Arteta’s team is competing well in both the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.

The Dortmund ace is a player worth having, and at that price tag, he will be a bargain signing. However, it remains to be seen whether there are more twists and turns in this transfer saga before the summer transfer window.
