Okay, With all the over expectations from the Gunners in the International break they once again turned out successful to sow seeds of no hopes for their supporters. A sloppy performance at Bramall Lane saw the newly promoted Sheffield United get better of Unai Emery’s Arsenal yesterday night and no one is in the mood – Fans? No, Players? No, Gaffer? Doesn’t seem like that.
Although, Arsenal controversial Captain Granit Xhaka has come forward with his damning assessment of the performance and was in no mood for any excuses for their poor performance against Chris Wilder’s side.
Lets see some numbers – Arsenal have managed to win just four of their last seventeen games away from home and surprisingly lost four of their last seven League away games against newly-promoted sides.
“We have to stop talking about [the mental side of the game] and bulls*** like this,” the Arsenal captain said afterwards, when discussing their displays on the road before apologising for his choice of words.
“I’m sorry to say that, but for me it’s the same whether you play at home or away – you have to win and show big character and not look for the same excuse.”
Now THAT will be my only positive from the match, someone I blamed to be less of a leader has come out – took the blame – and here he hs proved that maybe he’s got what it takes to wear the armband.
