Arsenal have been troubled by injuries to key lads this season as they try to recover from a struggling start to the season and try aiming for the Champions League spot under Mikel Arteta.
The Gunners are forced to play Bukayo Saka on the left full-back position with Sead Kolasinac struggling with his hamstring problems and summer signing Kieran Tierney out with a dislocated shoulder. Arteta is facing some similar issues on the right side of the defence as well, with Hector Bellerin struggling with injuries as well and Calum Chambers (who was used on the right when Hecky wasn’t available) now out for the rest of the season. Mikel was forced to play Sokratis on the right against Leeds United in the midweek. Fill in full back, Ainsley Maitland-Niles is expected to start against Crystal Palace though.
Dani Ceballos is also one of the faces that has returned to full fitness recently and is now hoping to find his way back into Mikel Arteta’s side gradually. Joining Dani in training is another of Arsenal stars in his childhood friend Hector Bellerin, who also has resumed training at London Colney.
Though Hecky won’t be able to feature right away, his presence will be a huge boost for Mikel Arteta.
And ahead of trip to Crystal Palace today, Ceballos took to Twitter to welcome Hector back…
