Cesc Fabregas’ move to AS Monaco is all but finalised, as the Spainard reunites with Thierry ‘Titi‘ Henry.
Fabregas probably played his final game in Chelsea colors on Saturday’s 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest in FA Cup weekend. He was given the armband and appeared in tears of gratitude when he was taken off for N’Golo Kante in 85th minute.
Its said that Maurizio Sarri wanted Cesc to stay beyond the summer but the World-Cup winner wanted to play under Titi in Monaco, France.
Cesc Fabregas moved to Chelsea from Barcelona in 2014 and has been an influential figure at the Stamford Bridge, although the 31-year-old fell down the pecking order this season under the Italian mastermind.
500 games in English football, the best and most competitive football in the world, what a ride it has been! A proper dream come true to reach these numbers. Another proud moment in my career. I will see you all at the Bridge on Saturday. @arsenal @chelseafc #cesc500 pic.twitter.com/LN2DSb9CIC

Chelsea fans would be upset that their legend will be leaving them this month, but according to former Liverpool player John Barnes, Cesc Fabregas means more to Arsenal than to Chelsea.
“He’s been a very, very important player to his country over the years, [and] to Arsenal, Barcelona and Chelsea,” Robinson said, as reported by the Express.
“It’s not a bad CV that he’s got
Barnes replied: “He’s an Arsenal player, he’s an Arsenal legend. He’s not a Chelsea legend.
“He’s been there four years, he hasn’t stamped his authority in terms of playing week in week out.
“Yes, it’s great that he’s leaving.
“I don’t know if that’s a goodbye to the Premier League or necessarily to Chelsea because, for me, Fabregas’ career is an Arsenal one as far as I’m concerned.”
If YOU DON’T KNOW
Cesc Fabregas is Barcelona’s famous La Masia’s youth product who moved to Arsenal to develop professionally and make a name for himself in 2003. And there is no doubt that he played some of his best football under Arsene Wenger for Arsenal, which earned him a move back to Barcelona.
Cesc Fabregas played over 300 games for Arsenal – scoring 57 goals before he moved back to Barcelona in 2011
I can’t conclude whom he means more to, but one thing’z for sure – He is a Gunner by blood and will always be.
