Bournemouth ready to blow Marseille out of the water for Eddie Nketiah

Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah has been likened with a potential exit this summer as a move to Marseille is under works.

The Hale End academy graduate has been blessing the Gunners with his technical elegance and goals for some time now, although the chances coming his way are slim at the Emirates Stadium with Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz holding the striking pole for Mikel Arteta’s side. That being said, the England international did successfully carry the burden of securing the balls in the net when Jesus pulled up his hands with injury in the Gunners first title charge under Mikel Arteta.

Eddie Nketiah possesses an abundance of talent and potential, and he has been linked with a potential exit where French side Marseille are potentially underpaying for the striker’s signatures.

Everything looked like a potential move to Roberto de Zerbi’s side would conclude soon when Premier League side Bournemouth knocked on London Colney’s doors.

Mikel Arteta’s childhood friend Andoni Iraola is in need of a top-quality striker as the Cherries look to replace Dominic Solanke. Big Dom has been linked with a life full of empty cabinets as a potential move to Tottenh*m Hotsp*r is in the works for the 26-year-old.

The Cherries are getting a decent payday for Solanke’s signatures as they are looking to bag a club-record £65 million for the striker with £30 million in quids upfront. They would be looking to replace Solanke’s services at the Vitality Stadium, and Iraola could turn to Arteta for a favor going into next season.

Eddie Nketiah is just as good as Solanke when he gets consistent minutes under his belt, complemented by a hand around his shoulder. And only one of the two has been involved in a title race.

Arsenal have put on a £30 million price tag on Eddie, which is the same as what Bournemouth would receive in an upfront payment from the noisy neighbors down the road.

Marseille’s Persistent Pursuit

Marseille have been lowballing a potential move for Nketiah for some time, and it’s good to see a Premier League side coming in at the last minute to secure his signature.

Bournemouth are also looking at Roma ace Tammy Abraham, who is keen on a potential return to the Prem. Tammy did play alongside Solanke during their shared time at Cobham.

We will see how this one comes about in the coming days. The deal with Marseille is possibly too advanced at the moment, with Nketiah’s agent already in France for a couple of days.
