Arsenal secured the services of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund in January in a club record deal.
OH Boy! What can I say about that – Trust me I was jumping here and there when Mkhitaryan said, ‘Yo Pierre, You wanna come out here?’
Arsenal did everything they could to make sure the Gabonese lands at The Emirates. The best thing is not only Arsenal but also Pierre did everything to make sure he is a Gunner by the end of the winter transfer window.
Aubameyang skipped training’s and meetings in order to push through a move away from Borussia Dortmund, then head coach Peter Stoger revealed.
“He left me no other choice,” he told Bild.
“He trained well four days of the week. But to underline his wish for a transfer, he skipped team meetings before games or refused to run during the final training.
“We did our best to keep him for at least another half a year, but Auba wasn’t ready for that.”
Despite the fact that Aubameyang forced through a move, Stoger insists that there is no bad blood between the pair.
“Honestly, I got along well with him although he kept me pretty busy for four weeks.”, He added.
“But Auba personally apologised to me before joining Arsenal.
“He told me that his behaviour had nothing to do with my person and that he had felt my support.”
