Arsenal have been dealt another potential injury blow as reports out of Brazilian media indicate that Gabriel Martinelli is experiencing discomfort in his tendon.

The Gunners have had woeful luck when it comes to international breaks this season. With key players picking up injuries that can have an impact on Arsenal’s season. It started with skipper Martin Odegaard, who picked up an ankle problem with Norway in the last international break, and he has spent the time in the rehabilitation room since, with a November return expected at the moment bare any setbacks.

While Arsenal supporters were recovering from the Odegaard blow, Bukayo Saka picked up a hamstring concern that forced him out of the Three Lions game against Greece last week, and the starboy has since returned to London Colney for further assessments.

The aforementioned duo adds to injury concerns at Sobha Realty Training Centre, with the likes of Ben White, Jurrien Timber, Oleksandr Zinchenko, and Kieran Tierney recovering at the club in the ongoing international break.

Now, TNT Sport reports that Brazil international Gabriel Martinelli could be the latest cause of concern at London Colney. He reported to the training complaining about experiencing tendon discomfort, and he is undergoing further tests to determine the severity of the problem. While the initial reports suggest that the 23-year-old’s discomfort is nothing serious, further assessment will determine the exacts of the injury.

He was training with Brazil with a tape on his tendon and is set to be among the audience in Brazil’s match against Peru on Tuesday.

Martinelli finally found his groove in the past couple of weeks, and it would be a massive blow to Mikel Arteta if he were to lose the roadrunner on a long-term injury.
