Jakub Kiwior & under development backed by the potential showcasing the trajectory his career could take on persuaded Arsenal into signing him from Spezia. Although from my viewpoint, he looks more of a NBA signing – a young lad with massive potential rather raw, been given that space & system to develop and horne his skills. His use as well speaks so, having only made 17 appearances for Arsenal, with seven of those as starts. Mikel Arteta, when speaking about Kiwior, once said how he will change the way Arsenal plays and I haven’t seen Mikel speak about any of our signings in the manner he spoke about the Polish. I feel we are giving him that year to develop as we did to young Saliba. Yes, William Saliba was sent out on loan but Kiwior isn’t – but I think the arc atleast on the development side should be akin.
And when minutes are dry, rumours start. Kiwior has been linked with a move to AC Milan in the newspapers recently. According to Italian newspaper, Calciomercato, he is the ‘first name’ on AC Milan’s transfer list and a ‘concrete attempt’ will be made to sign him come January and the Winter window.
In my opinion, these are just noise we should ignore. Kiwior has been impressive in the games he has played this season. Maybe its about getting Timber back, to reintroduce Kiwior and those dynamics we used at the start of the season. Maybe it’s to do with how Gabriel Maghalaes has improved massively on the ball. Anywho, Jakub Kiwior has a future at Arsenal be it this season or next, his time will come.
