Arsenal have been linked with numerous wide-forwards over the past summer or so, and the quantity of them rumours keep on compounding with time as we walk into the winter transfer window.
Ferran Torres has been one of those names linked with a move to Arsenal, as the Barcelona forward was named one of the players on Mikel Arteta’s list by Fichajes. The links keep on getting stronger now as Journalist Dean Jones speaking with GiveMeSport revealed that Arsenal believes a probable deal with Barcelona is possible come the January window.
Dean Jones speaking with GiveMeSport said: “They really like Ferran Torres, and they clearly believe he might become available because they inquired about him in the summer as well. So, if they’re sniffing around him again now, they sense that something’s up.”
Ferran Torres, at once, was regarded as an integral part of the project at Barcelona and it will be interesting to see if the Catalonia-based side will agree to a deal to move on from the Spain international.
Mikel Arteta would know all about Ferran Torres following working together during their time at Manchester City, and if history tells us anything – it’s scary to bring a player on to the red carpet that Mikel has already worked with. Although it’s said that Mykhaylo Mudryk is on top of Arsenal’s target list, which makes Torres’ links more complicated yet still one to look out for.
