Lucas Torreira’s emotional message to Sampdorian fans

Lucas Torreira has penned one emotional message to Sampdorian fans after sealing his switch to Arsenal earlier this month.

Torreira featured for Sampdoria couple of seasons and formed an integral part of the blucerchiati’s. His performances for Uruguay at World Cup shows ‘Why Arsenal broke bank to acquire his services’.

“Goodbye is too strong a word, so I’ll just say ‘see you later’,” he said on Instagram.

Addio è una parola troppa grossa, perciò vi dirò solo arrivederci. Lo farò perché la Sampdoria è stata la mia famiglia per due stagioni e resterà per sempre nel mio cuore. Vi dico arrivederci perché, anche se sarò lontano, non potrò mai dimenticare l’importanza di avervi avuto dalla mia parte, tutti, fin dal primo allenamento in cui ho indossato la maglia più bella del mondo.
