When Jesus was re-born it changed the world as we see it today, and for Arsenal – it’s time to re-born as they confirm the arrival of Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City. And this reinvigoration for the Gunners comes with an aim to fight for the silverware and win them as they look eye-to-eye with the elites and eventually become the best in the world.
It wasn’t a secret that Gabriel Jesus was coming to Arsenal, with everything but an official announcement pending – there were reports that a visa problem was the hurdle for the delay in announcement for Jesus to N5 but not anymore…

Gabriel Jesus will take up the number 9 for Arsenal but he brings just more than that. Jesus has been a grinder since his early days at Palmeiras and has ever been someone who can impact the game with as well as without the ball. And Mikel Arteta will be hoping that this re-union will bring multifarious goals as the Arsenal project has one of its very integral striking pieces solved.
Technical Director Edu said: “We are delighted that we have secured the transfer of Gabriel. Everyone who knows football well, knows the qualities of Gabriel Jesus.
“Gabriel is a player who we have admired for a long time now. He is 25 years old and an established Brazil international who has consistently demonstrated that he is a player at a very high level. We look forward to seeing him join up with his new teammates ahead of the new season. We all welcome Gabriel to Arsenal.”
Mikel Arteta added: “I’m very excited. The club has done a tremendous job to recruit a player of this stature. I know Gabriel personally very well, and we all know him well from his time in the Premier League and being really successful here.
“This is a position that’s been on our radar for a long time now and we have managed to get a player that we all wanted, so I’m really happy.”
