Feyenoord midfielder Orkun Kökçü has been linked with a move to Arsenal for sometime now, as the Turkish star is rated as Mesut Ozil filler once the World Cup winner bids adieu.
Kökçü admitted that his father & agent are “busy” with transfer negotiations amid his links to Arsenal.
The nineteen-year-old has three goals complemented by six assists in thirty-five games this season which has impressed everyone at N5 with rumours over a ‘likely’ bid as Mikel Arteta believeshe will fit in his ‘philosophy’.
Alongside Arsenal, Chelsea were also linked with a move for Kökçü although talk of a move to Stamford Bridge has died and his links to Arsenal have multiplied with time.
Kökçü refused to admit to anything on potential links but admitted to things happening behind the scenes.
“When the moment arrives, and I feel good about it, we’ll see,” Orkun told Rijnmond.
“I want to make the best of it next season and want to be as fit as possible when the competition starts again.
“For now I’m only working with Feyenoord. I have a contract until 2023, so I’m not in a hurry. It (transfer talk) doesn’t really matter to me, frankly. My father and my agent are busy with that.
“I try to isolate myself from that. That works fine. Fortunately, I am a footballer and not an agent.”
