One of the tantrums that Unai Emery brought with himself to Arsenal is the lack of appreciating talent over hard work and that certainly has left Mesut Ozil, one of the most talented midfielder of the Premier League, on the sidelines fighting for his place in the eleven – infact even in the squad.
Ozil has been seen donning the Arsenal badge only twice this season, starting in a 2-2 draw against Watford and 5-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the league cup.
Emery has preferred his countryman Dani Ceballos for majority of the fixtures, who has scored one and laid off couple of assists since sealing his temporary switch to London in the summer.
However, things might just be about to change…
There was a sign during international break which suggests Ozil could be gearing up once again to feature for the Gunners.
Goal reported that Mesut Ozil took part in behind-the-scenes friendly match against Reading last Friday, featuring alongside the trio of Rob Holding, Kieran Tierney and Hector Bellerin.
Though reports continue to link Mesut away from Arsenal, many Gunners faithful including me feel that Ozil might produce the goods if given a reasonable chance.
Although, whether that chance comes or not remains to be seen – But Emery will certainly be in some pressure and will have to provide us with an efficient reason IF Ozil doesn’t get the chances he deserves.
