Fulham are said to be pondering over a move for Arsenal star Reiss Nelson before the transfer deadline day. The 24-year-old’s future at the Emirates looks blurry as he remains at the periphery of manager Mikel Arteta’s plans.
Multiple Premier League clubs eye Reiss Nelson
The North London outfit are ready to accept offers but are not in an absolute rush to sell the player. However, they aren’t short of suitors, as several English teams are eyeing a move.
West Ham United and Leicester City held concrete talks earlier this summer. But their interest faded away, and now Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest are leading the race.

Nelson was part of the preseason games and made a short appearance against Aston Villa last weekend. He is behind Bukayo Saka (LW), Gabriel Martinelli, and Leandro Trossard (RW) in the attacking order. Other clubs might lure him with the prospect of playing regularly.

Are Fulham raiding Arsenal for the second time?
Fulham are keeping tabs on the Arsenal star and are looking to raid the Gunners for the second time. The Cottagers signed Emile Smith-Rowe in a £27 million move this summer.
They are considering signing Nelson and giving him a chance to continue staying in London. Marco Silva’s side has sold left-wingers William and Bobby De Cordova-Rei.
With only Adama Traore left as their top starting XI choice, they are aiming to sign Nelson as a direct competitor.

Fulham will be influenced by this move since their first Arsenal signing has made a good impact. Smith-Rowe scored a goal against Leicester. They won’t face any issue meeting Arsenal’s £20m price tag (including add-ons).
But Arteta’s side has little time to sign a replacement for the academy graduate. They are linked with several wingers but are yet to throw an aggressive offer.

Hence, it remains to be seen whether the English giants are ready to risk leaving a void in the squad. The decision to sell him shouldn’t come back to haunt us later on.
