Arsenal defender Rob Holding have suffered a massive blow against Manchester United at the Old Trafford, which appears to be a very serious injury.
The defender who was having the best spells of his career is carried off on stretcher and was replaced by Stephan Lichsteiner in the 36th minute. Rob Holding has got something wrong with his left lower leg when Rashford catches Holding near the sidelines.
The defender was immediately attended by Arsenal medical staff at sidelines. Stephan Lichsteiner played alongside Shkodran Mustafi and Sokratis Papastathopoulos in three-men defence for the rest of the half.
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 live, ex-Leicester City star Robbie Savage predicted that Holding suffered ligament damage.
He said: “It looks like knee ligament damage and the medical team were possibly doing tests on the side of the field.
“He stood up and was in a lot of pain. It is a shame because he has been playing well.”
That’s the end of Rob’s evening as he leaves the field on a stretcher 😨
