Arsenal could make late move for Swedish Messi who wants to move to the ‘big leagues’

Roony-Bardghji-Arsenal

Arsenal look set to be active in the transfer market for a new winger in the last days of this summer window. It’s one area in Mikel Arteta’s squad that looks wafer-thin in terms of depth and the Gunners could use some bolstering.

Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli are as good as they get when it comes to starters for a club of Arsenal’s stature. Leandro Trossard is an able deputy who provides good cover to the Brazilian winger, much like he came off the bench and gave the Gunners the lead against Aston Villa last weekend.

On the other flank though, Mikel Arteta doesn’t have a reliable alternative to Bukayo Saka. The English superstar almost never misses a game for the Gunners and his fitness is right up there but it isn’t a good situation to be in.

Over the last few days, the agents of Bradley Barcola, Raphinha, Sancho, Osimhen, and Lookman have contacted Edu Gaspar over a potential move to the Emirates. Not all these names look realistic but it’s very clear as to what profile Arsenal are on the lookout for.

Now, it looks like Arsenal have one more right winger they could look at. FC Copenhagen teenager Roony Bardghji is looking to move to the ‘big leagues’ and his agents are sounding out top clubs in Europe over a transfer this summer, per the ever-reliable Arsenal Fanatic News on their Patreon. The Gunners would be keen on making this transfer happen if the finances are right.

The 18-year-old is nicknamed the ‘Swedish Messi’. The player has been pretty vocal about his admiration for the Barcelona legend. His low centre of gravity and quick feet remind one of the Argentinian World Cup winner.

Bardghji is still very young and has a huge future ahead of him. The Swedish right-winger could move to Arsenal and be the perfect understudy to Bukayo Saka. The youngster has an abundance of talent and raw potential and needs someone like Arteta to mould him into the finished product.

The only thing that might be an issue with respect to signing the teenager is the uncertainty over how much game time he will be getting at the Emirates. As we mentioned earlier, Saka hardly ever misses a game and not having minutes could be detrimental to Bardghji’s career growth.

If they had the option, Arsenal would prefer to sign someone more experienced like Raphinha who can also play on the left instead of Gabriel Martinelli. Even the option of Jadon Sancho makes sense. It might be too soon to look at someone like Bardghji but the Gunners must keep a close eye on his development as he could be an option for the future.
