Bukayo Saka made his 200th appearance for Arsenal yesterday, away against Luton Town – in what turned out to be a tough night for B owing to the kicks and scrambles while continually being double & triple marked. But that in itself was a catalyst to realise how for Saka has come.
Saka was inspirational in Arsenal’s 4-3 win at Kenilworth Road. He created the opening goal for Gabriel Martinelli. But once Luton were level, it was like he took the game to them. Someone on Twitter wrote, Odegaard & Saka stepped up and that cannot be more right. Both of them put their hands up and were central to everything Arsenal tried till Odegaard, on the last kick of the ball, crossed in to Declan Rice who headed it in in the 96th minute.
Bukayo now boasts a tally of eight goals and twelve assists in all competitions this season – three of them goals coming in the Champions League, alongside four assists in the European nights.
Thierry Henry says that his performance against Luton in itself proved why Saka is ‘world-class’.
thierry henry just called bukayo saka world class, this conversation is over 👍🏾.
