Arsenal are on a roll after going on a 19 game unbeaten streak and are firm favorites to make it 20 when they face Jose Mourinho led Manchester United at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

Having started the season with back to back defeats at the hands of city and Chelsea, Unai Emery looks to have turn the fortunes around for everyone at Arsenal. On the other hand though, United are looking to rescue their season after having a nightmare start to begin with.

Arsenal are hands down favourite to win at Old Trafford. A ground where they last won a league game way back in September 2006 when a Fabregas inspired side took a 1-0 victory courtesy of an Adebayor goal. Their last victory in any competition came in FA Cup in oct 2015 when they won 2-1.

History certainly doesn’t favour the gunners but recent form and united’s horror campaign looks to finally put an end for a league victory at Old Trafford. But form counts for nothing in big games and as they say, nothing can be predicted in football.

Jose Mourinho has certainly mastered the art of big games. He doesn’t win them convincingly but then he WINS IT. That’s the thing with him. He knows how to get things done. Last season United won 6 games against the top six, losing on 3 occasion. At old Trafford they won against Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs. They sit deep, attack on counters, rely on luck and win the game. That’s typical Jose.

Even this season they won against Juventus in Turin after a late turnaround and almost broke Chelsea’s unbeaten streak. One week they lose to relegation battling Brighton in the league and the other week they go on to beat Champions League hopeful Juventus. They have ended the unbeaten run of arguably Europe’s strongest team, Can he end yet another unbeaten run? we will certainly have to wait and see. But one thing is sure, Arsenal just cannot afford to underestimate Manchester United.
