Integrating youth into world-class professionals is integrated into Arsenal’s culture and Edu as well as Raul are continuing Arsene Wenger’s legacy at the Emirates.
The likes of Joe Willock, Emile-Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka are given their go in the first team coming in from the Hale End and they have also brought in the likes of Matteo Guendouzi and Gabriel Martinelli.
Now, the Gunners are reportedly interested in another highly rated Brazilian teenager Reinier Jesus.
The seventeen-year-old made his Flamengo debut back in July, but his performances have attracted interests from host of big European clubs. Likes of Manchester City, Liverpool, Paris-Saint Germain, Real Madrid and Juventus have already shiwn keen interest in Reinier. Meanwhile, Everton are said to have already established contacts to get him in January.
Mundo Deportivo reports that the Gunners have already established contracts with his Father, who has reportedly made a trip to Europe to look for best possible destination for Reinier.
Reinier’s asking price was only £17 million at the start of this campaign, but his recent performances have just doubled his value. The Brazilian signed new deal with Flamengo which escalated his buy out clause to £60 million.
The recent speculations also suggest Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid being interested party in Jesus’ signatures.
Reinier, who is keen for a move to Europe, said:
“It’s an honour that Atlético are interested in me because they are a huge club.
“It’s another honour to know that one of the biggest clubs in the world is watching me.
“But I’m a Flamengo player and my objective is to keep doing a good job here to win many titles in Brazil.”
Arsenal have signed Brazilian prodigy in Gabriel Martinelli in the summer and his impressive performances could just prove to be critical in spending big on Reinier.
