According to Whoscored, Skhodran Mustafi is the highest rated Premier League defender who has also overtaken rich brats Virgil Van Dijk and Harry Maguire. In the process, Arsenal fans have reacted while mocking VVD too.
The German centre-back has scored an average rating of (7.5) as compared to (7.48) of Virgil Van Dijk. Considering the constant criticism that he has been facing at his days at Arsenal, this comes in as a complete surprise.
He has even surpassed the likes of Ricardo Pereira (7.38) and Cesar Azpilicuetta (7.34) in the process.
Mustafi is also ranked third in Arsenal in terms of average rating with a score of (7.13) which is only bettered by Nicolas Pepe (7.19) and Pablo Mari (7.37).
