Benjamin Sesko: a name Arsenal fans should start paying attention to. The RB Leipzig striker has emerged as a hot target for the Gunners, who have long been hunting for a marquee forward to boost their title chase.
Arsenal have been in the market for a marquee striker for the better part of two years now. As per reports from Sky Germany’s Philipp Hinze, RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko is one such player on the Gunners’ radar, but he will not come cheap. As mentioned in the report, the German side could ask for up to £62.2 million for Sesko’s services.
They key clause in his existing deal with RB Leipzig allows Sesko an interesting opportunity, though. As per the deal, the striker will be free to negotiate with other clubs and seek opportunities in the summer of 2025, so long as said clubs are willing to meet Leipzig’s aforementioned asking price.
With Arsenal circling around their target and keeping close tabs on him for a long time now, it will be interesting to see whether they decide to fund a move for the Slovenian.
Benjamin Sesko interest intensifies at the Emirates Stadium
Linked with several clubs including Premier League giants Arsenal and Chelsea, Benjamin Sesko is one of the most in-demand forwards in Europe at the moment. Aged just 21 as well, Sesko has almost his entire playing career ahead of him, making his next move all the more crucial in this stage of his career.
Despite being in need of doing so, the Gunners did not enter the market for a conventional striker last summer. Instead, they signed winger Raheem Sterling on loan from Chelsea in a bizarre deal that surprised and shocked may. Now, while the Englishman struggles for game time, Arsenal will look to plan ahead to recruit a striker.
