Transfer guru Dean Jones has claimed that Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic is highly unlikely to shift clubs in January amidst interest from Arsenal.
This is not the first time that Arsenal are being linked with a move for Vlahovic. They had been heavily interested in him last January when he was still at Fiorentina but the Serbian striker chose to move to Juventus.
Since then, Arsenal have moved on to other players. They eventually ended up signing Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City in the summer whilst Eddie Nketiah has emerged as an unlikely hero for Arteta.
Jesus is currently out injured after picking up a knock while on World Cup duty with Brazil. However, Nketiah has made sure that Arsenal do not miss the talented Brazilian marksman.
Now, with Arsenal still interested in Vlahovic, transfer expert Dean Jones has said a January move is impossible but the Gunners would be in a great position to make it happen in the summer should they wish to.
“I’m still told the chances of getting Vlahovic in this window are slim to no chance. But at the end of the season, if Arsenal maintain this kind of form they will be capable of pretty much anything in the transfer market. Juventus are very unsettled at the moment and I think there is a very real chance top talent will be available from them in the summer.”
Arsenal really don’t need Dusan Vlahovic. We all know how well Gabriel Jesus has settled into the team and played for Arsenal this season and Nketiah has shown that he is no slouch either.
Unless one of Jesus or Nketiah leave the club in the summer or drop drastically in level, Arsenal don’t need to think about Vlahovic for now. This is a transfer that can be avoided.
