Dutch talent Chido Obi-Martin’s move to Manchester United has stalled as Arsenal are yet to receive a compensation fee for their prised asset.

The U18 star’s contract expired this summer, and he didn’t extend his stay at the Emirates. He trained alone for a while before switching alliances with the Red Devils.

It was expected that the deal would go through this week as the 16-year-old completed his medical at Carrington. But the independent panel is yet to answer the Gunner’s demands. They have already moved the matter to the court, and they might get a resolution this week.

In a latest development, the rights panel has arrested a third-party group who approached the North London outfit and tried to make money out of Obi-Martin’s contract with Man United.

As per Arsenal Fanatic News (via Patreon), they were found guilty of transferring the profits to their charity account. They have been arrested, and another six charges are pending.

United are also under investigation, as the individual panel firmly believes that they have deposited money into the third party’s charity account. As things stand, the Red Devils are yet to agree on a fee.

As per sources, Arsenal will get at least £8 million plus a 40% sell-on clause inserted into the young striker’s contract. They will receive further add-ons via his international call-ups and senior appearances.

Obi-Martin was a star at London Colney. He made a club record by scoring 32 goals in just 20 league matches for the Gunner’s U18s. United will plan to shift him to the U21s later on. He is eligible to sign a professional contract once he turns 18.

It will be frustrating for the young Hale End star to experience such a poorly handled transfer saga. No one would like to get stuck in the middle of a court order.

Obi-Martin is filled with so much potential, and he will be waiting to go all guns blazing at Old Trafford. But he might have to wait a little longer to witness his dreams come true.

Meanwhile, Arsenal will receive a profitable sum from the sale of the youngster. Looking at the player’s potential, it was a smart move to agree on an attractive sell-on clause. This gives them another chance to get millions out of this deal in the future.
