Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck has suffered a massive blow, after What appears to be a very serious injury against Sporting Lisbon at the Emirates Stadium.
Welbeck went up for a header with Bruno Gaspar in the first half and had landed awkwardly on his ankle.
The striker was quickly attended by Arsenal medical staff and was given oxygen on the field before being stretchered off and was replaced by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Englishman has not received much of chances in the League with Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang being preferred to Danny. Though he has been on fire in cup competitions this season – scoring couple of goals in so appearances in the Carabao Cup as well as netting twice in three Europa League games so far this season. He has even scored against against West Ham in the League despite only starting one game so far this season.
If his injury is as bad as it looks – We may not be able to watch Danny Welbeck in Arsenal Jersey again.
Meanwhile, its still not clear how Welbeck suffered the injury – it certainly looked clear that IT WAS SERIOUS.
Danny hasn’t had best of lucks with injuries, he spent most of his time between the 2014/15 season and 2015/16 season serving the sidelines.
He even underwent knee surgery and suffered from cartilage damage. And as it looked that he is past with injury vows – he’s got another one.
