Arsenal have completed the signing of David Luiz from Chelsea on a permanent deal, landing the Brazilian defender for £8m.
David Luiz switch across London fills a gap in the defensive ranks left by Laurent Koscielny, when he left for Bordeaux earlier this week. The 32-year-old centre back ended his time as a Chelsea player having made 248 appearances, scoring 18 goals during his Stamford Bridge career. He also has 56 international appearances for Brazil to his name.
The Brazilian has played over five hundred matches in his professional career and his experience will bring some stability to Arsenal’s leaking defence. He will don the number 23 shirt for the Gunners.
