Arsenal have commenced their Premier League season as the Gunners look to improve on last season’s finish and push for a Premiership title finish this season. And while there is a lot to pick from the game against the Wolves, it also gave us a keen understanding of whether Eddie Nketiah will continue at the Emirates Stadium going into the upcoming season.
Eddie Nketiah has been linked with a move away from Arsenal as the England international looks to get more consistent minutes under his belt this season, something that should come short with the Gunners with Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus ahead of him in the pecking order.

Everything pointed at a possible move to Marseille; however, the French club called quits at the last minute and went on to rather sign Elye Wahi. This leaves Eddie in the middle of nowhere going into the new season.
Mikel Arteta chose to keep the England international on the bench against Arsenal’s season opener against Gary O’Neil’s Wolves earlier today, and could it be an indication that there is a possibility about his potential stay at London Colney beyond the ongoing summer transfer window?

Nketiah had been linked with a move to Bournemouth, with the Cherries looking to replace Dominic Solanke at Vitality Stadium; however, they have signed Evanilson from Porto in a club-record £40.2 million deal. With Andoni Iraola’s side out of the picture, the likes of Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest and Everton have come into the picture for a potential move for the Hale End academy graduate.
Arsenal would be looking to move on Eddie in the summer, and the Gunners are said to be holding out for a £30 million fee for him. Ideally, if that happens, the Gunners could go on to bring in another forward (be it a striker or a wide forward) in the ongoing summer window. But at the moment, his inclusion in the matchday squad means that Arteta is already planning for his possible stay this summer.
