Hatem Ben Arfa, the man who was stormed outta PSG by Unai Emery has admits he spent some time of the Match laughing at Arsenal’s manager. The Rennes midfielder also revealed he predicted the score and remains confident they can get a positive result at North London next week. Besides his fued with Unai Emery, Ben Arfa has also left Arsenal fans fuming following his actions right after Sokratis Papastathopoulos was shown the red carpet.
Arsenal though they had another comfortable travel outside London right after Alex Iwobi gave them the lead in third minute but missed changes came back to bite Arsenal, who now host Manchester United in the Premier League followed by hosting Rennes on a two goal deficit.
Arsenal looked all in control of the tie until Sokratis was shown off second yellow when the Greek brought down Ismilia Sarr (which is a little bit harsh – but certainly in laws).
Hatem Ben Arfa showed his delight to Papa’s send off with a cheeky wink which has left Arsenal faithful furious with former Newcastle United midfielder.

Thought it was deeply satisfying night for the birthday boy, when asked whether the result gave him particular pleasure because it was against Unai Emery, he replied: “No, my motivation was to play a solid match, to win and get ourselves into a good position to go through. That’s what was in my head. But I did see the same Emery, as agitated as ever. I looked over at him a few times and that made me laugh a little. He hasn’t changed.
“I told some friends before the match that my prediction was that we would win 3-1 or 4-1. We didn’t manage to get the fourth but my prediction was right.”
Emery’s anxiety at the touch line was understandable, especially when his side are putting up a shambolic performance as Arsenal did in second half.
There is a long walk back now, hopefully Arsenal come with their gears at Emirates in the next leg.
