Unai Emery has his captain back, we have our captain back – Laurent Koscielny has made his return from Achilles injury which kept him out from action for nearly seven months.
Koscielny featured for forty-five minutes for the Under-23’s against Derby County, which turned out to be a night to forget for the Frenchman and his mates.
Freddie Ljungberg’s side lost 5-0, finishing the game with 9 men as both Jordi Osei-Tutu (who replaced Koscielny) and Daniel Ballard were sent off within five minutes of one other. Meanwhile, Derby were also dismissed a man though they took full advantage of the same, scoring thrice in the dying twenty minutes.
However, the return of Koscielny will be highly welcomed by Unai Emery and his men, although it’s still time before he is considered for first team setup.
