Atletico Madrid are circling around Arsenal in order to steal Alexandre Lacazette this summer. The Spanish giants have increased their interest in the forward after Arsenal are said to be ‘happy to let Alexandre Lacazette leave in summer transfer.’
The French tiger has been in the radar of Spanish side as they look to strengthen their attacking area and give an end to their attacking woes.
They have not been on the scoresheet at tandem and have only scored 31 goals in 27 games this season. The Frenchman can come in as a prolific goalscorer to their team and give them a new look altogether.
The 28-year-old striker’s lack of form has seen him fall under Arteta with the Spaniard choosing youngsters over him. According to AS, Atletico have penned Lacazette number 1 in their list and will land him at Madrid if Arsenal give him for a reasonable price tag.
The 28-year-old had moved to the Emirates in 2017 in a £52million deal and will cost the Spanish team a heavier sum. He has his contract until 2022 and therefore selling him would be beneficial for Arsenal who themselves have financial burden.
The Gunners have confirmed that they would allow one or two players to leave this summer with the Frenchman being their first on the list.
