As revealed by Arsenal youth scout Jeorge Bird, midfield prodigy Max Dowman is set to feature for Arsenal’s U19 side in the UEFA Youth League against away side Atalanta tomorrow.
The 14-year-old will become the youngest ever player to feature for the Gooners in the Youth League, surpassing Kaylen Hinds, who was 15 when he first featured in 2013.
The Englishman is turning heads in London Colney with his outstanding performances. At his age, other children might enjoy school, but the talented player is working hard to accomplish his dreams.

The versatile playmaker made his debut for the Gunner’s U18 in 2023 at the age of 18. He scored two goals and registered five assists in seven games throughout the season.
He is progressing well under former midfielder Jack Wilshere. Dowman was called up to England’s U16s in the Football Federation Cup this year.

The academy star primarily operates as an attacking midfielder looking to glide past defenders with ease. His physical maturity and technical intelligence are too good for his age; he is very confident with the ball at his feat. Dowman also operated as a right-winger in three games for the U18s.
He will be a key player vs. Atalanta and is likely to play in an advanced midfield or a No. 10 role. Although it’s still a long way to go before he becomes a regular at Emirates, breaking a record this early will boost his morale.
