Arsenal will make the short trip north-west as they prepare to face Wolves at the Molineux Stadium in the Premier League later today (January 25). Having drawn two of their last five games in the league, the Gunners have lost further ground on leaders Liverpool, whom they trail by six points having played a game more.

After their matchup against Wolves, Mikel Arteta’s men will gear up to host defending champions Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium on February 2nd, adding extra weightage to their next match. They will look to put their best foot forward and secure a victory that would be a confidence booster ahead of the bigger game down the line.

Arsenal will also be boosted with the fact that each of their last five meetings with Wolves has gone their way, with an aggregate scoreline of 13-1. They have kept clean sheets in four of those games, and have won in their last three visits to the Molineux.

However, with injuries continuing to haunt Arteta, let’s take a look at how the Spaniard could rotate his lineup.

Arsenal will enter their next match knowing nothing short of a win would do them good. They will be playing away from home, where their defensive displays have been excellent, and they will look to preserve that reputation.

David Raya will assume his spot between the sticks for the Gunners, with Jurrien Timber, Jakub Kiwior, Gabriel Magalhaes and Oleksandr Zinchenko making up the back four in front of him.

Captain Martin Odegaard will start on the right side of midfield, with Declan Rice on the left and Thomas Partey in the holding role as he will be returned to his favoured position.

Up front, Arteta will go with Gabriel Martinelli on the right flank, moving Raheem Sterling to the bench. Leandro Trossard will start on the left side, with Kai Havertz up top.

Predicted XI: Raya; Timber, Kiwior, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Odegaard (C), Partey, Rice; Martinelli, Havertz, Trossard.
