Arsenal are gearing up to strengthen their depth in attacking third. The exit of Danny Welback has fastened the pace of finding a long-term young prospect and have recently grown their interest in Danny Loader.

The young English starlet who had a breakthrough season this year and has risen to prominence courtesy wonderful performances for Reading. Although his team continuously struggled in the Championship, the youngster somehow caught the eyes of big scouts.

A growing and glowing individual, only in his 19’s, Danny Loader is being loaded with expectations and scouting from big clubs like Juventus, Chelsea, Wolves, Southampton, Leicester City, Lille and Rennes. The Gunners have the edge over striker but face tough competition from the neighbours Chelsea.

Player Profile:

Full name: Daniel Namaso Edi-Mesumbe Loader

Date of birth: 28 August 2000

Place of birth: Reading, England

Playing position: Forward

The English international for U’s squad Loader has made huge impression on Arsenal scout. Playing for his hometown club, the number 43 is viewed as a potential Welback replacement which by now should wake Nketiah who has been viewing game time since last year.

Loader is in the final year of his term with Reading which by large seems unlikely to happen because of club’s financial position.

Reading are crunched with finance and therefore will be looking to load-off Loader. It is highly unlikely that Reading will extend the contract or Loader for same.

Danny Loader is a World Cup winner!! – The 19 year-old is part of what some are already calling England’s ‘golden generation’.

We already have two great Gunners up front who are particularly irreplaceable and with speculations of Loader joining Emirates, the light of Nketiah seems to be dimming, slowly and drastically. And if Nketiah does not want to lose his spot, he will have to prove Emery his worth for every penny that Arsenal had been putting in him.

A backup striker is definitely required but at the cost of our very own kid who is deemed fit and ‘ready to play’ by Gunners legend Freddie Ljungberg should not be accepted.

However, the survival of fittest is what keeps us strong and if it means sacrificing Nketiah’s position, it has to happen.
