Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has taken to social media site Instagram to welcome new club signing and former teammate Aaron Ramsey to Juventus.
Its official, Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey will be wearing a Juventus jersey from next season onwards. The Welshman’s long-awaited deal to Juventus was confirmed yesterday when he agreed to a four-year deal which will come into place in the summer.
Arsenal did not offer Ramsey a new contract and his current deal with the North London side will expire in the summer. This led to heavy interest from top clubs across the European continent that was keen on Ramsey’s signature including Serie A champions Juventus.
But ex-Gunner Wojciech Szczesny might have had a say in convincing Ramsey to move to Turin.

Szczesny is currently the number 1 shot-stopper at Juventus after leaving the Emirates back in 2017, spending eight years at Arsenal. And after Ramsey’s move was confirmed to Juventus, Szczesny sent out a message on Instagram writing, “Welcome to Juve family. Get yourself ready for hard work. The next few years is all about winning! PS. what’s my commission?”
Arsenal fans would not be too happy with Szczesny’s welcome message for Ramsey but the Welshman had a kind message for the Arsenal faithful as well.
On Instagram, Ramsey posted his heartfelt goodbyes to the Arsenal fans, “As you may have already heard, I have agreed a pre-contract with Juventus Football Club.
“I wanted to issue a personal statement for all the Arsenal fans who have been extremely loyal and supportive. You welcomed me as a teenager and have been there for me through all the highs and lows I’ve encountered during my time at the club.
“It is with a heavy heart that I leave after 11 incredible years in North London. Thank you. I will continue to give the team 100 percent and hope to finish the season strongly, before heading on to my next chapter in Turin. Kind regards, Aaron.”
