Manchester United winger’s agent approaches Arsenal as future under Ruben Amorim hits a new low

Manchester United winger Marcus Rashford’s agent has approached Premier League rival Arsenal to discuss a possible transfer in the upcoming transfer window, as revealed by the Arsenal Fanatics News.

The 27-year-old is now on the verge of an exit after going through a tumultuous December under new manager Ruben Amorim.

Inside sources revealed that the Portuguese boss was unhappy with the player’s decision to move out in Manchester just 48 hours before the Everton game. Hence, the winger was dropped for the game against Man City, and a few days later, in an interview with Henry Winter, he claimed that he is open to a move away from the club.

Since this revelation, he never made it out of the bench in the game against Newcastle United and has since missed all their matches. The English star couldn’t face Liverpool due to an illness.

The January transfer window is now moving closer, and rumours have surfaced linking Rashford to several Premier League clubs. The Athletic’s David Ornstein recently admitted that unnamed PL outfits are planning to offer a loan deal for the winger.

It has been now claimed that Rashford’s agent met with Arsenal’s officials, and both parties could work out a deal. The North London links come as a surprise, and we expect early movements if the winger’s situation at Man United doesn’t improve.

January transfer might be difficult, but a straight loan for the player cannot be ruled out. Italian clubs such as AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, and Juventus are also weighing up a move for the United academy graduate.

The Red Devils are yet to receive an offer for Rashford. Amorim has made it clear that it is up to the player to force his way back into the first team or leave himself stranded.

All options are open, but United would want their attacker to stay at the club and fight for the badge. This will increase his value in case they decide to sell him in the summer.

Although a loan move won’t provide such benefits, they can look at the advantages of sending Jadon Sancho to Chelsea on loan. It helped them save wages without compromising on their financial plans.

For Arsenal, it’s a big plus since they are already hunting for a winger to replace the injured Bukayo Saka. Rashford is a top-quality player who can provide an instant impact. He could move to the left-wing spot and let Gabriel Martinelli or Gabriel Jesus cover the right flank. Rashford has been called out numerous times for being inconsistent, and it remains to be seen if Mikel Arteta shows interest in having him in his team.

A summer move is out of reach at the moment, but a loan deal should be explored considering the recent injuries to Saka, Ethan Nwaneri, and Raheem Sterling.
